Bulk Import

Bulk import helps you to import the license records and agreements in bulk by uploading CSV or Excel files. Microsoft's MLS (Microsoft Licensing Statement) is also supported. Bulk import populates the database from the uploaded files and displays the preview. You can then edit the details and approve the same. The approved license or agreement is then stored in the license repository. Duplicate records or errors during import are displayed in a message dialog box.

MLS import - This option allows you to import the MLS (Microsoft Licensing Statement) file which contains both license and agreement information. MLS does not contain much information related to purchase. This information will have to be manually entered in the bulk import preview screen.

Bulk Agreement Import - This option allows you to import agreements in bulk. A template is provided to be used for generic agreement import. You need to fill the information in the template and upload it. You can then edit and approve the information.

Bulk License Import - This option is similar to bulk agreement import and allows you to import licenses in bulk. You need to fill the information in the template and then upload or import it in SapphireIMS repository.

Microsoft Licensing Statement

Use this option to import the MLS file provided by Microsoft corporation. The license agreements, purchase orders and software licenses present in the MLS file can be imported. Import of license agreements and purchase orders is optional and it can be skipped by clicking the Skip button. All fields marked as mandatory need to be filled on the preview screen to complete the MLS import.

Select the Microsoft Licensing Statement option and click 'Choose File'. Browse and select the MLS file and click the Submit button.

For license agreement import, you can select and apply default values for "Business Unit" and "Country of Usage" fields. Click the Next button

Select the purchase detail records which need to be imported and enter the PO Number or click the Skip button to skip this import

You can check the records to be imported, apply default values or enter the data manually for the mandatory fields and click the Import button to import the data into SapphireIMS repository.

Bulk Agreement Import

Use this option to import license agreements by using a generic template. The generic template can be downloaded by clicking the Create Template button. Use the Submit button to import the filled in template file. All fields marked as mandatory need to be filled on the preview screen to complete the bulk agreement import.

Bulk Software License Import

Use this option to import software licenses by using a generic template. The generic template can be downloaded by clicking the Create Template button. Use the Submit button to import the filled in template file. All fields marked as mandatory need to be filled on the preview screen to complete the bulk software license import.
