The inventory data collection captured from a device is base lined as the original version. Any subsequent change to the device (software related installation/un-installation or hardware related changes) that is detected from the subsequent data collection is marked as change log. This gives the administrator an overall view of the inventory changes happening to a system on a regular basis.
