SapphireIMS can monitor all kinds of logs from various sources and generate alarms based on conditions. Typical use of log monitoring is to detect security events, abnormal system conditions etc.
SapphireIMS supports monitoring of the following logs.
Event Logs
Syslog
SNMP Traps
Application Logs
The logs are collected and displayed in a dashboard or as a listing. In addition reports can be generated. The logs can also be used to generate alarms based on certain conditions and generate a Service Desk Record for the engineer to take action.
Before using the Log Analyzer a plug-in component has to be installed on top of SapphireIMS. Refer to Settings->Log Analyzer for the steps to install and configure Log Analyzer.
