Quick template lists the various templates that are categorically arranged. The purpose of these templates is to offer different services to the user. Each of the templates listed is used to submit an incident or a service request.
Services like request for a laptop, request for VPN or reporting incidents like system infected with virus is in-built in the form of templates. A user has to just view the description and details of the template, change the details if required and submit. The request will go through the routine process till it is resolved.
1. To access 'Quick Template' on the service desk menu, point to 'Self Service' and click 'Quick Template'.
2. As displayed in the image below, Quick Template tab displays different categories. Select a category and the respective sub category.

For example, when you click 'User Accounts' > 'General' all templates belonging to the general category will be displayed. Click on the desired template.
3. For example: If you click on 'Reset Password' template, 'New Service Request' screen will be displayed. Modify the details as required and click 'Submit'

4. Service Request Number is displayed after the request is submitted. Make a note of this number for future reference.
