Guest Summary Details

 

Each of the guest host details are displayed in 'VM Inventory' screen. To get complete details of any one of the guest OS click on the ‘+’ sign in the ‘Host Name’ column to expand the guest summary details. Following details will be displayed. Please refer to the screen below.

Guest Summary Details

Data Store

Displays the guest data store information like

VMX Path: The path where bootable image is located in the datastore.

Log Directory: This is the location to store the virtual machine’s log files

Snapshot directory: This is the location to store the backup information of VMware server configuration information like  (hardware allocation,  Operating System type, current state of guest OS etc.), which can be loaded on different VM server if required

Suspend Directory: This is the location where the server writes a file when one of the virtual machine is suspended

CD-ROM Details

Displays the physically attached CD-ROM details or the virtual iso images of the CD-ROM drive

Network Adapter

Displays the virtual network details

Note: The guest network information will be collected only if the virtual tool is installed in the guest OS.

Video Card

Displays the virtual video card information like the allocated memory size in GB, number of supported monitors and 3D support status
