SMS Settings

SapphireIMS can interface with an SMS Gateway using which SMS notifications can be sent. This topic describes the steps to interface SapphireIMS with an SMS Gateway.

Note: The Wireless Messenger plug-in is no longer required for sending SMS notifications. By default, the Global Settings are set to interface with the Wireless Messenger. You need to change this setting. In the Global Settings, search for the setting 'Send alerts from wireless messenger' and set the value as '0'. Refer to Settings->Advanced Systems Settings->Global Settings for the steps to change Global Settings.

Configuring the SMS Gateway interface.

Click 'Settings' and then in the 'Advanced System Settings' section click 'SMS Settings'. The following screen is displayed.

The fields are described in the table below.

Serial No	Field Name	Description
1	SMS Gateway Request Type	Select 'GET' or 'POST' depending on the method supported by the gateway.
2	SMS Gateway Username	Enter the 'username' for the SMS Gateway.
3	SMS Gateway Password	Enter the 'password' for the SMS Gateway.
4	SMS Gateway Success Status Code	Enter the code which the SMS Gateway returns on success.
5	SMS Gateway Success Response Body	Enter the body of the Response which the SMS Gateway returns on success.
6	SMS Gateway URL	Enter the URL for the Gateway along with the parameters. The macros will be replaced with the actual values when the request is sent.

Click on 'Update' to save the configuration.
