SapphireIMS provides an interface 'Settings' – 'Asset and Inventory Management' – 'Node Operations' which helps to control the following operations on the devices.
1. Change a managed device to unmanaged device
2. Change the unmanaged device to a managed device
3. Discovery process is controlled through the SapphireIMS licensing policy. Control the licensing effectively by licensing and un-licensing devices of your choice
4. Delete any device that is discovered. Re-discover the same at a later point of time
5. SapphireIMS data collection is based on a discovery key (which can be either a combination of Operating System and MAC address or Operating System and BIOS serial number), if in case this changes then the data collection will stop for the device. The discovery key can be reset to avoid this scenario and the data collection will happen on the device subsequently.
