SapphireIMS has a number of in-built dashboards. The Dashboard is made up of a number of widgets which are of various types to display data in different formats. While the Dashboard is accessible from the Service Desk module, it has widgets for other modules as well. Appropriate widgets can be selected such that the dashboard gives a complete view across all IT functionality including Service Desk, Asset Management, Inventory and Automation and Monitoring.
The dashboard can be configured as per individual requirements. You can select which widgets are to be displayed and the organization of the widgets on screen.
Note: This Dashboard view
can be accessed only if you have Service Desk module enabled. Also the
Service Desk Dashboard access has to be enabled for the user.
Note: If Group Access Control
settings are configured, then the dashboard data is restricted based on
the settings for the workgroup.
On log-in, depending on the setting of the home page (refer
Service
Desk->Basic Operations->Service Desk Home->Advanced Settings)
either the Dashboard page or the Listing page is displayed. You can
switch between them (using the and
buttons).
If the Dashboard view is selected, the Dashboard for the selected project is displayed.
If multiple dashboards have been configured, you can select from the drop down menu on the right
The widgets can only be viewed on other dashboards. Any editing or configuration can only be done from the Main Dashboard.
You can click on to
set the currently displayed dashboard as the default.
The Dashboard has in-built widgets for each of the modules,
including Service Desk, Asset Management, Automation and Monitoring.
The Dashboard can be refreshed on-demand by clicking the icon on the right side.
The dashboard can be customized in terms of the widgets displayed
and their organization on screen by each user for their need. To customize
the dashboard click on the on the right
hand side. The configuration screen is displayed.
To speed up the configuration, a search box is provided to search for a custom widget.
Note: Only the module to
which you have been given access would be visible on the top bar. For
allowing access to ITAM and BSM, the 'Inventory' and 'Performance' options
must be selected for the user. Refer to Settings->User/Role Management->Roles
for details. For viewing the CMDB module, you need to have access in CMDB.
Refer Settings->Assets->Users
for details.
There are in-built widgets for each module. Additionally you
can create new widgets. To create a new widget click on icon. A widget addition
screen is displayed. Refer Service Desk->Dashboards->Creating
Dashboards->Creating Custom Widgets for details.
These widgets will be displayed under 'CUSTOM' tab.
Select the module from the top bar. Click on the in-built widgets
which you want to view in the dashboard. Select the Dashboard Refresh
Interval by clicking on and the Time Scale by
clicking on
. Once the
widgets are selected from each module, click on 'Next'.
The dashboard widget organization screen is displayed.
You can re-arrange the order of the widgets through drag and drop. Click on 'Update'.
On any widget click on
to drag the widget and move it to a different place on the screen.
On any widget click on
to edit the widget. If it is an in-built widget, the widget's attributes
cannot be changed and you can only publish the widget in different
dashboards. For custom widgets, all the attributes of the widget can
be modified. Refer the topic Service Desk->Dashboards->Creating
Dashboards->Creating Custom Widgets for details on creating
and modifying widget attributes.
On any widget click on
to close the widget.
If the widget name is not displayed completely and if dots are present, hold your mouse on the name and the full name is displayed in a box which pops up.
On any widget if there are filters defined, click on to get the details about
the filter settings. A pop-up window shows the filters which are currently
applied. If there are more filters than visible, you can scroll in
the window.
Some of the widgets allow drill-down to the record listing screen.
Click on which will take you to the record listing
screen.
Depending on the widget type there are controls for filtering, selecting time scale, type of graph for each widget and these controls are located on the top bar of the widget. These controls are described in the table below. Not all controls will be applicable for all widgets.

On the widget, you can click on to display
the widget in a pop-up window. To export the widget, click on
button
and select the format. The formats are 'Export
as PNG', 'Export as
JPG', 'Export as PDF',
'Export as SVG' for all charts.
For summary reports, options are 'Export
as PDF' and 'Export as Excel'.
